The Junior ROTC program has been a well known for its leadership courses. William Hewlett, class of 1930, was the battalion commander of the Lowell JROTC battalion and later became the one of the founders of Hewlett Packard, a leading computer manufacturer today. We, the students/staff of SFUSD and the San Francisco community, believe that we should preserve JROTC in the SFUSD so that the program can produce more leaders in society.
