I really would love to meet your editor to discuss your reasons for publishing photos or videos that will ultimately lead to more problems for our soldiers in Iraq, as the wife of a British Soldier that has served in Iraq I am absolutely disgusted at your lack of compassion for the Soldiers out there (EVERY soldier) You as a British paper are meant to be helping them not making their job harder! Do you not think that by publishing these photos you are basically giving the Iraqi extremists the tools for another revenge bomb attack/shooting or kidnapping of our British soldiers in Iraq when this results in death or injury of another British soldier and you are sitting nicely in your warm homes with your families I hope you stop and think about the family that is going to be told that their son, husband brother is dead all due to your lack of understanding about the army and its soldiers.
You have no idea what happened with those soldiers in Iraq, you are making it look worse so that you sell more papers, have you actually watched the video? Those soldiers may have been out there months away from their families being attacked from all sides scared, missing home, being shot at, if you look at the video you will notice that at least one of the Iraqis is using a slingshot to throw the stones; these are lethal if you didnt know that already they are used to hunt large animals, then again you wouldnt want to tell everyone that in the paper would you because your whole aim is to make British Soldiers look as bad as possible so you make more money from your badly informed paper.
Tony Blair on TV with his 'Concerned' face and his 'deeply concerned' method of speech, condemning the squaddies in the video and promising an immediate inquiry - pity he is not as quick to promise a proper inquiry into the reason for our troops getting involved in what it is becoming increasingly clear was an illegal war he got us into in the first place.
He could also compare the results of his getting us involved (thousands of Iraqis killed) with the 'unacceptable violence' (as he describes it) inflicted on about a dozen or so Iraqis by squaddies who have just had to put up with gangs throwing stones at them and who knows what else
Maybe one day you will realize what it is like to have a loved one in Iraq not knowing from one day to the next if indeed you will see them again and if you do whether they will ever be the same person as you waved goodbye to
I hope you actually read this and dont dismiss it as nothing because we have feelings to and to read another "story" about our Soldiers of which we love so much from a paper I once respected reminds me of traitors, not supporters
Maybe you should be concentrating on trying to get our soldiers pulled out of Iraq rather than stirring up trouble that will only keep them over there longer.
