The people who have signed this petition demand that it becomes state law that at least all state highways and preferably all county highways have lights at train crossings.
On July 24th, 2005 two young men were killed when they hit the train just west of Morris on MN-28. They were 17 and 19 years old. There is no reason anyone should die at this young age especially when it probably would have been prevented if there were lights at the crossing. By making lights mandatory at all crossings it could prevent others from suffering this kind of horrible loss.
Please sign this petition to prevent any further accidents due to the lack of lights.
