THE IMMEDIATE REMOVAL
OF
Mr. George Zoffinger
As a Member of the Board of Governors, Rutgers University
We, the undersigned, as alumni, students and friends of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, implore the Governor of the State of New Jersey and the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Rutgers University to take immediate action for the removal of Mr. George Zoffinger in his position as a member of the Board of Governors of the University and immediately seek an interim replacement for the remainder of this term ending in 2010.
Mr. Zoffinger has become not an only an embarrassment to our University but the leading divisive element that is thwarting the rightful growth of the University as one of the leading public educational institutions in the nation. His conflicts of interest relative to serving on the Board of Governors are well known.
By his own public admission he moved his primary residence to the State of Pennsylvania in order to avoid paying New Jersey property and income taxes that might flow to Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. On other election contribution forms filed with the State he has alternatively claimed New Jersey residence. On behest of the best interests of the State, the University and all that support and benefit from this fine institution we not only request but demand the removal of this member of the BOG as soon as possible so that the our State University can move forward without continued controversy and without any semblance/reality of important decisions being fostered by the implication of personal ambitions.
We therefore plead that this action be taken at the soonest possible time.
