This petition is urging the formation of a new student organization, the Electronic Music Club. The focal point of this student organization is to organize and promote electronic and dance music events on campus. There are no student organizations for this purpose, nor are there any dance music events on campus for UMBC students. The goal of this organization is to organize free electronic music events to increase the diversity of activities available to UMBC students.
The organization will also serve UMBC DJs who are trying to find an outlet for their talent, as well as people who want to learn how to be a DJ, and those who want to refine their technique.
Anyone is free to join, and the organization's events will always be open to everyone.
