A Petition
to the Board of Directors
of Renaissance St. Louis, Inc.
March 12, 2010

We, the undersigned volunteer staff, cast, and crew of Renaissance St. Louis [a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
corporation, incorporated in the State of Missouri in 1998, EIN 1816327, with corporate offices at 120
W. Pearce Blvd., Wentzville, MO 63385, telephone 636-928-4141] and the performers, merchants and
patrons of its events, the Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire and the St. Louis Pirate Festival, require
a representative, transparent and accountable board of directors.

We, the undersigned, believe that the Board of Directors are and have been acting to the detriment of
the organization and its stakeholders, by showing blatant disregard for best practices for nonprofit
boards of directors and conducting business with only 5 members when the by-laws call for a
maximum of 11. We believe that 11 members are necessary to properly represent the diversity of the
organization and its stakeholders.

We, the undersigned, require the Renaissance St. Louis Board of Directors, within 30 days of this
petition, to consider the applications for board membership submitted to the board prior to the date of
this petition and elect new members sufficient to fill the board to the maximum of 11 as specified in
the by-laws. Any current member having served longer than the 3-year term limit will step down from
the board, also as specified in the by-laws. We also require that voting by the Board of Directors in this
matter will be conducted by an individual poll of the members, not by a group voice vote.

We, the undersigned, require that the board conduct no other business until the board is filled to a
maximum of 11 and the requirements of the by-laws for term limits are met and until a new meeting is
called and the proper notice given to the new members.

82. Randy D | It seems that the basis for this petition should be a foregone conclusion; after all, the requirements for a non-profit in Missouri mandate these items. That this petition is necessary reflects on the past egregious operating methods of the management. Th
