Abolition of the forced teaching of Irish in schools of Ireland

We, the youth and concerned adults of Ireland feel Irish is a dead-or-dying language, and is unnecessaily taught in Irish schools. Upon leaving school we may never speak any Irish again. Teaching us a dead language is taking up class time, when we could be learning maths or english(a language we do speak).
We, the undersigned call for the necessary taking of Irish in Primary & Secondary Education to be removed, and be replaced possibly by a foreign(still-spoken) language, or perhaps the freed-up classtime could be used to reinforce the teaching time of other subjects.
Irish could be continued, if students feel the want or need, voluntarily & afterschool, with the creation of Irish Clubs,newsletters.etc.
