We, the undersign, urge Assemblyman Jerry Green, Chairperson of the Housing and Local Government, and Senator Ronald L. Rice, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Community and Urban Affairs, to vote A-3892 and S-2725 out of their respective committee and send it to the full legislature as soon as possible. This important housing bill will amend the "Fair Housing Act" to ensure that the housing stock built to address the affordable housing crisis will also meet the growing and urgent demand for accessible housing for people with disabilities. This bill will mandate that each housing unit meet NJ Barrier-free Code in order to be "counted" as an affordable unit. The lack of affordable and accessible housing continues to be a major obstacle to the independence of people with disabilities. You must bring this bill to the floor now!!!
