For the last few years, Australian citizens have been able to pay for ad-free television (FOXTEL/Optus/Austar) - as our commercial stations are now flooded with advertisements.
In the past couple of years, FOXTEL slowly creeped in ads between shows, then during shows, and now during movies.
The ad blocks are almost as long as those on commercial television.
As FOXTEL subscribers, we have endured a 50\% price increase since the launch of the cable service.
Now, we have to put up with constant ad breaks as well. This is something the subsribers will not tolerate.
We signed on for ad-free viewing, and are prepared to pay for it. However, we will NOT pay to watch ads during our quality viewing.

I have had enough and will be cancelling my 10 year subscription. I have written to FOXTEL to discuss the ads and have been ignored every time. Screw you FOXTEL.

Advertising on tv pays for the free service you receive. Advertising during programs for a paid service is not accetable.

foxtel standard has dropped considerably and now with ads popping up makes it even worst. prices are so expensive. i came back from asia and their cable tv is less than half of what i am paying and yet they get more channels. foxtel need to do something q
