We the undersigned demand a full and unreserved apology from the United Kingdom government for the atrocities committed in its name by the British Army in the weeks and month following the Battle of Culloden in April 1746. In today's terms, the genocide and acts of state-sponsored terrorism inflicted upon the people and the Highlands and Islands would be regarded as War Crimes. To date, and to its shame, there has NEVER been an apology made by any UK Government for the heinous actions of its troops.
