Appeal for the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui and her 3 children

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who wish to protest regarding the ongoing detention (five years of which was incommunicado) of Dr Aafia Siddiqui and appeal for her quick release, along with her 3 children.
We are shocked to know that Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani citizen has been missing with her three children since April 2003, after her arrest by intelligence agencies of Pakistan under the following simple charge sheet, issued by FBI.

CHARGE SHEET
"Although the FBI has no information indicating this individual is connected to specific terrorist activities, the FBI would like to locate and question this individual"
(COATED EXACTLY WORD BY WORD from seeking information sheet issued by Community Defense Unit of Police)
She was remained imprisoned under above mentioned charge sheet for 5 years until FBI revealed that:
"She was detained on 17 July by Afghan forces while attempting to bomb the compound of the governor of Ghazni".

She faces 20 years in prison on each charge if convicted, but her lawyer dismissed the charges as ridiculous. Fauzia Siddiqui said her sister had spent "five years in detention" despite being "innocent of any crime".
There are reports that in Afghanistans prison of Bagram there is a woman prison known as PRISONER 650 and that she has been severely tortured. It is also widely suspected that Prisoner 650 is Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. This prisoner has reportedly lost her mind due to constant rape and ill treatment.

Ahmed, the twelve-year-old son of Siddiqui is still being detained in Afghanistan, alone and away from his mother, despite his status as a US citizen while other 2 children are still missing and no one knows about them.

MEDICAL C0NDITI0N
The News of Pakistan reports that Siddiqui's health is very frail, over and above her recent gun-shot wound.
The report quoted concerns of the Co-chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Iqbal Haider, who felt the images of Siddiqui showing that her health was been so badly damaged her life was in imminent risk. The report stated that the following, though Aafia's lawyer has not communicated a confirmation.
*One of her kidneys had been removed while in captivity;
*Her teeth had been removed;
*Her nose had been broken, and improperly reset;
*That her recent gun-shot wound had been incompetently dressed, was oozing blood, leaving her clothes soaked with blood.

APPEAL
In the light of recent media reports, WE APPEAL TO ALL THE CHAMPIONS OF HUMAN RIGHTS across the world to come forward and play their role to provide justice to the unfortunate Doctor and locate her three children. And also punish to all of them which are involved in shameful torture to him.

We call on the US authorities to cease all use of detention and torture, to release Dr Siddiquis three children back to the custody of her family, and to repatriate her to Pakistan, in line with the demands of the Pakistani National Assembly.
What is also of grave concern to us is that when she was arrested by Pakistani intelligence authorities she was handed over to American intelligence agencies without being tried in Pakistan, we do not find any rationale in sending her along with her children to other country when there are Pakistani laws to deal with the suspected terrorists. It is known that President Musharraf handed over 600 suspected terrorists to America, against the laws of Pakistan. So, we also appeal for free and fair trail of all of these.
