Appoint Rob Ford to the Senate

Dear Stephen Harper:

On behalf of the residents and citizens of the City of Toronto, I am writing to you to ask that you consider an appointment of Rob Ford to the Senate of Canada.

In light of your successful appointment and the honourable service of Patrick Brazeau and Mike Duffy in the Senate, it is abundantly clear to the citizens of Toronto that Mayor Ford is similarly qualified. 

As the Mayor of our Toronto, Rob Ford has been a trailblazer on such serious issues as "Time off to coach football" and "Avoiding Pride". 

Indeed, his desire to "Stop the Gravy Train", and perhaps to turn it into a Casino or the Worlds Biggest Ferris Wheel, are heretofore unmatched in modern politics. Perhaps the Senate has gravy too.

As well, Rob Ford's proven ability to ignore things like rules, customs, and conflicts of interest, appear to be a great fit for both the Senate and your Conservative Government. As Rob Ford is already independantly wealthy, you (Or Nigel) wouldn't even have to cover any benefits he falsely claims while campaigning on your behalf. That's $90,000.00 you just saved!

And while the Citizens of Toronto would be saddened by the loss of our Mayor, Rob Ford is a treasure which Toronto would be proud to share with our fellow Canadians.
