We the undersigned endorse the following petition:
The Lee Center Fire Department Board of Fire Commissioners should rescind their vote to not accept the nominations of Ken Baker Jr. for Fire Chief and Joe Baker for Second Assistant Chief. We ask for you to rescind your vote in that:
1. These above mentioned persons were unanimously voted for by the Volunteer Members of the Lee Center Fire Department.
2. Both persons mentioned above are not only qualified through training and experience combined, but have shown excellent leadership skills while they have held these positions in the past.
3. The Board of Commissioners has shown no just cause as for their decision to not accept the nominations for these two persons.
4. The people of the community being within the fire protection boundaries of the Lee Center Fire Department support the nominations of both Ken Baker Jr. as Chief and Joe Baker as Second Assistant Chief.
We strongly ask that the Board of Commissioners honor the wishes of the community in which they are suppose to represent.
