Dear Mr. Commissioner,
In light of the cancellation of the 2004/2005 NHL season, we, (the signed), ask that you officially award the 2004/2005 Stanley Cup to the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
We feel that Winnipeg desires to be awarded the Cup due to the efforts of the "Return of the Jets" campaign to bring the NHL back to the city, the undeniable presents of the Jets sprit during the 2004 playoffs (Former 1995-96 Jets team players playing on different playoff teams, the White Out (a popular trend that started in Winnipeg, and part of the Winnipeg Jets history and tradition) in Tampa, etc), and the injustice the league has done there by not helping to save their popular NHL team in 1996 (unlike the NFL which always tries to save it's teams like the Cleveland Browns).
