Bach Research Paper

We, the members of Centennial High School Orchestra, disagree with the fact that because a few people would not cooperate with what was asked (though it is not like we were out of control), that we should have to write a research paper. This paper was unfairly assigned in the mist of an "anger episode", as is occasionally seen time from time, and is unjustified. There is also, if we may recall, no slot for research papers in the syllabus as given to us at the beginning of the year. There is a 25\% weight for "playing and/or written tests", but a research paper does not fit that category.

It is true that one person can mess up the entire group in performance time, and that we all do need to be one unit, but if that is so then we will be a "unit" and do the research paper TOGETHER, not separately. Orchestra is not just about one player, it is about a group and team-effort, and so if this paper is assigned to the group, then we will all do one as a group, together.
