Balboa and Leadership High Should Be Kept Seperate

After asking and receiving the opinion of many faculty members and students around our school, we have come to a universal consensus.
All of the students, parents and faculty members that we asked strongly disagreed with the merging.
This is caused by the following:
1. We will lose our own space in school.
- The third floor and basement of Balboa will be lost to Leadership High
2. The schedule that many students of Balboa are used to, may change.
- Leadership is a charter school, which means the state of California must cater to their needs. Bell schedules will be different, which may interfere with our fellow peers' education.
- Early dismissal on Wednesdays may be lost. This early dismissal on Wednesdays allowed students to go home and catch up on homework.
3. Spawning of hatred between schools.
- If the schools do merge, Leadership and Balboa may suffer high levels of rivalry to see the other school fail.
- Fights may break out between schools
4. Classrooms will be extremely crowded.
- Leadership is a charter school, and they are used to 15-20 students per class. This will cause the students Balboa High to suffer in extremely crowded classrooms. Our classes are crowded enough as it is, and having to endure more students per class will interfere with our learning. This definitely goes against the SLC (Small Learning Communities) that the SFUSD is aiming for.
