It's 2017, the pollution in this country is soaring! Daily transportation is difficult due to pollution, lovely evening walks are difficult due to this pollution, peace of mind is difficult due to this pollution. Delhi, the capital answered by the ban on crackers! The air quality in Delhi ranges from 180 to an astonishing 800, the safe number is from 0 to 50 and 50 to 100 being moderate. It's great that they are taking measures but it's too late. Should the air quality in the other cities also reach such uncontrollable numbers for government to BAN crackers all over India?
In spite such bad air quality all over India (at least in major cities), we Indians schedule this one day where we all come out of our houses burst crackers, release harmful gases and pollute the atmosphere and call it an auspicious day, Diwali. Diwali is a festival of lights, NOT AIR AND SOUND POLLUTION. The damage we're causing today could affect our children's future, could be the cause of one's illness, could be the cause of one's cancer, could be the cause of one's DEATH. Say "NO" to crackers. You may be a parent who wants to burst crackers because your kids desperately want to burst them, Say 'NO" to your kids, they may cry, educate them! Tell them how harmful those gases are for the environment, for us and our future. You may agree with all of the things I've mentioned and don't want to burst crackers but still, you burst them because "formality", understand that even though your contribution is very small it is adding up to everything else, our country's atmosphere is polluted enough!
Think about our future as a country, even though you may not contribute to its welfare but don't contribute in destroying its heritage!
