Ban Horse Slaughter

We the undersigned are horrified to discover that over 8000 horses were slaughtered in the UK last year for horsemeat.

We demand that an immediate ban is implemented in the UK and the Republic of Ireland protecting horses from slaughter and that legislation is also implemented ensuring the horses are not shipped elsewhere for slaughter.

As the UK and the Republic of Ireland are members of the EU we demand that this ban is also implemented right across Europe.
