"NYS Regents exams force teachers to "teach to the test", as districts are penalized for decresing scores. It prevents meaningful education and discourages independent thought and creativity in both the students as well as the teachers."

"As a parent of a child in a public school, and as a high school teacher myself; I strongly believe that those exams are just another way of giving the people in Albany a reason to spend money on our expense! It simply serves a bureocratic purpose."
