Ban the public sale of Fireworks

Below is a list of people who wish to see fireworks banned from public sale following yet another serious incident involving fireworks.

Today (14/11/2009) a 4yr old lays in intensive care after some idiots set off a firework and it hit the child in the face, a few weeks ago one was fired from a car towards myself and my partner, there are too many idiots around and too many incidents caused year on year by misuse of fireworks, had this been your child, what would you do? As a father myself I would hate for this to happen to my kids, I'm not against organized displays but feel that sale for the public should be banned as no amount of television advertising or government awareness schemes seem to make any difference, as this continues to be an issue year on year.
It's time to take a dramatic stand and remove these dangerous items from sale, every year firework companies seem to produce bigger and better fireworks, which, in the wrong hands, become VERY deadly and VERY dangerous.
How much longer will you allow this atrocity to go on before you take action?
