This petition asks the Hon. Jim Flaherty, Canada's minister of finance, to return the Bank of Canada to the role it occupied during the years between 1935 and 1974.
Since 1974, international and private banks have taken over the role once held by the Bank of Canada. This change has been responsible for the unprecedented national debt incurred in the decades since.
