Basalt Community Speaks on Golf Club Expansion

We, the undersigned people of the Basalt community, deserve to be
involved when important annexations are being considered, especially
ones that erode our urban growth boundary. We oppose the proposed
golf club expansion because it doesn't fit with our cultural heritage or
small town character. We hereby request a community charrette to
define the future uses of the Meyer and Kittle ranches. Only then,
once the community has developed a vision for these ranches, should
we look to developers (if appropriate) to help Basalt realize that
vision.
