Bell’s Field is the large green space at the top of Patrick’s hill overlooking Cork City) This wonderful resource is a important tourist attraction and much needed recreation area for us residents of Cork City. It has the potential to be a fantastic amenity for our local area but for too long it has been neglected, poorly resourced and is plagued by issues such as
Late night anti-social behaviour Illegal dumping Poor infrastructure Dog foulingWe are calling for a plan of renewal works to be put in place by Cork City Council to transform the field into an enclosed public park, an amenity that we can all be proud of and one that serves as a valuable resource for locals and tourists alike. Renewal works should include perimeter railings, footpaths, a children's playground, seats and trees.
