The Bicycle User Group, introduced by LEAF, has had a positive impact on the LUMS campus life and is very useful for students,faculty and staff. It is a healthy form of entertainment and allows us to minimize our dependence on cars as a mode of transport.
As a third world country, we are ridden with environmental challenges in our urban centers and industries that are slowly destroying the environment around us. The way we live has become a burden on the environment. A initiative like this will helps us adopt a change in our lifestyles in the future when we do have a choice.
It is unfortunate that LEAF only has a few bikes for this facility and we as a community should support this initiative and help them establish the first campus cycling facility in Pakistan.
In order to help this facility to establish itself as a part of the campus life at LUMS, we should take initiative and donate for the cause.
