As most RPG players will know, Bioware is the most influential of all companies in this field. From the Forgotten Realms fantasies such as Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights, to such commended games as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Bioware continue to write excellent games.
However, we must draw your attention to the dire news that Microsoft, not content with virtually monopolising the business sector of computing, now wishes to buy out Bioware and produce their games exclusively for Xbox. This should not be allowed; a current poll on Biowares own website indicates that 64\% of their loyal visitors do not even own an Xbox! Surely that is enough evidence that this move would be unwise, to say the least.
So what is this petiton about? It is not so much about Microsoft not buying Bioware (many would prefer if they didn't, though), as long as the games are still of an equally high quality. The real reason for this is that I disagree with the move to XBox only. After all, the games only work on Microsoft Windows anyway. I think that just as much profit will be gained, if not more, from releasing the games for both systems.

I will readily buy all KotOR and NWN sequels, as well as any other Bioware RPGs, if they are released on PC. But I cannot justify - or afford - purchasing an X-Box simply for a handful of games.

I've been a faithful follower of BioWare from the original Baldur's Gate. I own BG, TotSC, BG2, ToB, NWN, KotOR...and I think they're all excellent games. KotOR/BG2: ToB being tied for best IMO. It would really shame me to see such
