My husband and I adopted a kitten from PetSmart. This kitten had FPV (Feline Panleukpenia Virus) and died within days. This highly fatal and contagious disease spread to my 4 year old cat Carly and she is now fighting for her life. Without hospitilization, Carly has less than a 50% chance of surviving on just antibiotics alone. PetSmart has continued to ignore their ethical responsibility by not fighting to save her life.PetSmart currently has no testing for their animals and does not ensure their health in any way, even if it affects an unlimited amount of other animals. They claim to have a "no liability clause" that keeps them "safe" from these situations, no matter how many others it affects. I feel this is a policy that should change immediately. It is in no way acceptable to sell a pet with a highly contagious and fatal disease and hold no responsibility. Please sign my petition and BOYCOTT their store, adoption centers and products completely in hopes of gaining their attention.
