The 2012 edition of the NHL Lockout is progressed beyond the ridiculous. We have Billionaire owners fighting with millionaire, spoiled baby players over a pot of $3.2 billion dollars supplied to them, for the most part, by us, hockey crazed fans.
We have seen countless news conferences, read countless press releases and taken up Gigabytes of space on line for all of the various offers, counter-offers, insider analysis, bickering, banter and posturing. The only opinion that doesn't seem to get much tv, radio or internet time is the only opinion that really counts - Public Opinion, the opinion of those who fund this damn game and make it possible for grown up kids to make millions of dollars playing a game that we all pay $1000's to partcipate in.
I say enough is enough and I'm calling on all like minded fans to join me and immediately boycott all things NHL and NHLPA.
With the Christmas season around the corner, don't buy an NHL Jersey or hat as a gift, maybe support your local Major Jr. or Jr. B team instead. Don't contiune to pay a monthly premium for specialized cable channels to watch a game that isn't being played, cancell those subscriptions.
Don't let the NHL and NHLPA continue to take you for granted. If it wasn't for us Fans, there wouldn't be a pool of $3.2 Billion dollars to fight over. Let's try to get as many signatures as possible so that we can show Gary and Don that we care more about the game than they do about their egos
