This petition calls for the release of a 5.1 Surround Sound Hi-Resolution version of Brian Wilson Presents SMiLE from Nonesuch Records. Brian is a true genius of harmony and melody and SMiLE is his masterpiece. To hear this masterful recording in 5.1 would be the most rewarding experience for his legion of fans worldwide. Pet Sounds, another of Wilsons great album (with The Beach Boys), as well as his Live At the Roxy Theater and Imagination albums have already been remixed and released in beautiful 5.1.
Contrary to popular belief, 5.1 is not a dying format. Many new automobiles offer surround sound in their sound systems and many surround mixes by different artists are still released. The people with 5.1 setups in their home want to hear SMiLE in a different light. If you agree with the consensus of this petition, please sign.
