Bring Back Brenda Barrett to General Hospital

Dear General Hospital,
Ever so often in a soap opera there is an unforgettable character that remains in our hearts even after its departure. This petition is for such a character and that character is Brenda Barrett played by Vanessa Marcil. She has been gone from GH for a few years now and returned only for a few brief seconds last summer. There have been many rumors of her return but so far there has been no official word. We the fans have decided to take matters into our own hands that is why we began this petition because we would like the return of Brenda Barrett to General Hospital. We feel that the timing is perfect for her return . Lately General Hospital has not been as exciting as it once was. It is lacking the adventure, sexiness, romance and comedy it once had. One of the reasons that General Hospital was so popular in the 90s was because of the character of Brenda Barrett. When she was paired with Sonny Corinthos everyone fell in love. They provided us with one of the hottest romances in daytime television. When the character was paired with Jasper Jacks, the hottest daytime triangle began. Everyone had an opinion on who Brenda should end up with. Even now there are still arguments about it and there is still a longing for her return. We hope that this petition is taken seriously and that consideration is given to our request. We feel that the only way that General Hospital will once again be a top soap is to restore it to the way it once was. The only way that this could happen would be if Brenda were to return. The ratings while she was on the soap were high ones and can be once again if she came back to General Hospital. In order for a soap opera to be successful its fans must be kept happy and what would make us happy would be the return of Vanessa Marcil as Brenda Barrett.
