Bring Back Chris Checkman's Rock Show

KXLU 88.9 FM is the best college radio station in Los Angeles. They have an assortment of musical programs and are always commercial free. Disc Jockey Chris Checkman is one of the best on-air personalities the radio station has had in its 53-year history. Chris Checkman has been a DJ there since 1988 and continues to host a late-night specialty show called Blues Hotel. But Checkman also used to host a rock show on Tuesdays from 2PM-6PM, The Morris Beef Show, that has been unfairly taken away from him because he had to take some time off to look for employment. No one gets paid for DJ-ing at KXLU, they do it out the sheer love of the station and music, so its understandable that Chris needed to take some time in order to find a paying day job (the record store he was formerly employed at had to shut their doors thereby leaving Checkman with out employment.). But it seems that the management at KXLU has taken Checkmans temporary absence and made it permanent.























I am writing this petition to give to the management at KXLU 88.9 FM in hopes of re-instating one of their finest, wittiest, and most musically knowledgeable and passionate DJs back to his regular and rightful daytime slot.
