Dear Kevin Reilly and Peter Liguori (Fox Broadcasting Entertainment Presidents),
we from the Dark Angel-United Network and all Dark Angel fans worldwide call on you to bring the TV series "James Cameron's Dark Angel" back in a Movie. The story is not yet finished and must be continued.
Many questions are unanswered. The end as it is, is unacceptable
6 years after the cancellation of this series, Dark Angel hast still a strong, big and international fan community worldwide.
In 2006 and in 2007 there was a poll on www.foxtvdvd.co.uk
In 2006 was the question: "Now we've brought back Family Guy for another series, which of these would you like to see resurrected for another series?"
We've won this vote with 34,5\%. Over 6\% in front of Tru Calling
And in 2007 with the question: "What is your favorite Sci-Fi series?"
We've also won this poll with 84\%
We call for a reaction from your side to this Votes that we won!!!!
We dont understand why did you cancel Dark Angel??? Why you move the airtime to the "Friday night death slot" ??? You must know that the rating would go down. It was a bad time for the target audience.
Dark Angel has only in the USA over 11 Million Fans. And a lot more worldwide. Do you mean it was too expensive? We fans will pay for it.
You should know that the Dark Angel Books in Germany, issues 2 and 3, are complete out of stock. Since this year. The only chance for fans to get this is Ebay.
And there the issues 2 and 3 will be sold between 70-100 EUR for a Book which had cost in a shop 15EUR!!! This happens not one or two times, no the books will be sold for this prices every week since some months.
I mean, if fans pay these high prices for Dark Angel merchandise than you should finally notice that it is a good and a lucrative project.
What can we do for a continuation?????
We dont want many special effects. We only want DARK ANGEL!!
- make Dark Angel Season 3 on DVD and we will buy it.
- make a new film for the cinema and we will watch it.
- make more fan products and we will buy them.
- or just find some sponsors for Dark Angel
We will do everything for a continuation!!
You gave Joss Whedon's "Firefly" a movie, although this series was less popular. It would be fair to give it Dark Angel too.
Dark Angel is unique because of its great Story, great action and very interesting characters. Therefore we ask you to bring Dark Angel back and produce another Season or at least a movie in which the open questions of the final Episode of Season 2 will be answered.
IESB's Silas Lesick spoke with Jessica Alba at the press day for her latest film The Eye on January 23 in 2008. She answers to the question, what about making Dark Angel into a film? They had talked about it and she would like to work again with Cameron whatever he wants to do.
IESB: Any thought into making Dark Angel into a film?
JA: We've talked about it
IESB: Would you like to do that or would it be going back for you?
JA: I want to work with Jim so I would pretty much do anything he wants to do.
We still haven't given up the hope of keeping Dark Angel alive. This show will never die, I promise you.
