We, the Gray Area listener community, are totally outraged by CBS San Francisco's decision to end the Free FM format and to do away with The Gray Area Show. Absolutely no notice was provided to the listeners and to the show hosts that the format was set to change after the conclusion of the A's baseball game.
Free FM and The Gray Area have a solid fan base here in the Bay Area. As a former listener of Free FM and The Gray Area, I hereby sign this petition to boycott any and all of CBS Radio's stations based in San Francisco.
This is to include the following stations: KFRC 106.9, KLLC Alice 97.3, KITS Live 105 105.3, KYCY 1550 and KCBS 740.
We, the listener community, want CBS President - San Francisco - Steve DiNardo to know that this is the wrong decision and to bring back Free FM and The Gray Area! He has the authority to make the decision to bring the format back and/or place The Gray Area on another CBS station within the CBS San Francisco radio market.
NOTE: A copy of this petition will be sent certified mail to President of CBS Radio Joel Hollander as well as CBS President - San Francisco - Steve DiNardo in 30 days from today's date.

The FreeFM concept can really take off by targeting it right specifically to males who want to hear something different that speaks to them at a gut level. Relevant advertisers would then cherish such a captive audience.

I can't believe this happened to them again! Is CBS owned by Clear Channel? I quit listening to radio the first time this happened. And looks like I'll do it again. It's sad that radio sucks so much now, guess it's back to satellite radio and my iPod.

Bring it Back!!! Free FM was some of the Only radio that I could actually listen to for more than 2 miniutes without changing the station. I loved The Grey Area and when the time slot was changed I was PISSED!!
