Calling all motorsport nuts!
We want Monza to be restored to its former glory. The current circuit is excellent, the changes made to Variante Rettifilo are excellent but an important part of its history could be refurbished and brought back to use.
Of course I am talking about the banking. Between 1922 and 1965 a banked oval 2.790 miles long was used. If this is refurbished this will make Monza the Indianapolis of Europe. It will need refurbishment and works to make the banking less steep in addition to new grandstands. But it will be worth it to make restore the oval part of Europes greatest ever roval. I am not suggesting any change to the F1 course, but an IRL round, a NASCAR race and several rounds of ASCAR would make this the best motor sport facility in Europe.
