Army Specialist Richard Davis was right at the forefront of America's initial invasion on Iraq. He returned to Ft. Benning on July 12, 2003 and was murdered 24 hours later in Columbus GA. His murderers were arrested, tried and convicted.
Despite the fact that all scientific testing has been performed on his remains, the District Attorney's office in Columbus GA still refuses to release him for a proper burial stating he may need them for the defendants appeals. However, the defendants attorney's have stated they do not need to re-examine the remains! Not only that, but the actual remains were never entered into court evidence AT ALL. A plastic model was used. The identity of the remains have never been in question. Nobody within the legal community understands the reasoning behind the decision to continue hold on to Richard.
Even though his parents have pleaded with the D.A. to return their son to them, Richard's skeletal remains are sitting in a cardboard box on the D.A.'s closet shelf! He served our Nation with honor and dignity and deserves to be buried in the same manner.
It's been nearly four years. Please help bring Army Specialist Richard Davis home.

There is no reasonable rational to continue holding these remains. Give the family as much respect and accord the remains of their son the decency that should be his due as a human being not to mention a member of the US armed forces who served voluntaril
