Bring Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3 to North America

Fans of English role-playing video games have missed out on many classics in the past decade. Fans who were not exposed to great games such as Final Fantasy IV, V, VI and Chrono Trigger when they were available have recently gotten a second chance to obtain these classics in packages such as Final Fantasy Anthology and Final Fantasy Chronicles for the PlayStation video game console. This shows the fans that Square is, indeed, a company who cares about their fans.

Upon the release of Final Fantasy Chronicles in North America, fans of Square realized that there are still great games out there that have not been rereleased yet. The most significant of these titles is Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3. To the North American fans, these games go by the names of Secret of Mana and Secret of Mana 2, respectively. Secret of Mana was released on the Super Nintendo console many years ago and since then, it has become very rare and virtually impossible to find. Secret of Mana 2, or more appropriately Seiken Densetsu 3, was never released in North America to begin with. Instead, Square opted to bring Secret of Evermore to the states. Although a good game in its own right, the game bore no connection with the Seiken Densetsu series and left fans of the series very disappointed.

That is why we, the fans of this series, would greatly appreciate it if Square were to release these two games in the states again. With remakes of classic 8-bit and 16-bit games so popular at this time, there has never been a better time to release these classics. With the release of this collection, the Seiken Densetsu fanbase will grow even larger and increase the popularity of future, and even present, installments in the series.
