We, the undersigned, hereby request that Time Warner Cable add the Chicago Tribune's WGN-TV channel to its standard cable line-up.
Our reasons for this request include the following:
1. WGN provides extensive coverage of MLB games played by the Chicago Cubs -- a team with a world-wide fan-base and historic appeal. WGN also covers Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls games.
2. WGN provides high-quality local news for the Chicagoland area. In particular, the morning news is delivered by a team of witty and insightful anchors. As the third-largest city in the United States, Chicago news is very relevant to New Yorkers. The large contingent of transplants from the Chicagoland area are desperately in need of news about Mayor Daley's latest controversial actions and his rambling justifications.
