Buy Recycled

This is a petition to force the United States government to only purchase paper made out of 100% recycled fibers: to reduce energy use, deforestation, landfill overflowage, and waterway pollution (hydrogen peroxide, which is usually used to whiten recycled paper, does not pollute our waterways). This measure would not only help the environment by saving trees and energy (it takes less energy to make paper from recycled fibers), but it would help lower the cost of recycled products and increase the demand for them. So please take a minute to sign this "Buy Recycled" Petition. Because together, we CAN make a difference. - I am signing this petition to signify that I am for a law requiring that all government funded paper at the local, state, and national levels be made out of 100% post-consumer recycled fibers; and if whitened, require the government to purchase the 100% post-consumer recycled fiber paper only if it has been whitened with the use of hydrogen peroxide.
