Very soon, one of the most groundbreaking sports tournaments in recent history will be taking place: The 'Super Six World Boxing Classic'. This tournament will pit some of the world's best Super Middleweight boxers against each other in a thrilling new concept to determine just who is the greatest Super Middleweight boxer of this current generation. Some of the names who are taking part include: Carl Froch, WBC World Champion (one of just two of Britain's current world champions); Mikkel Kessler, WBA World Champion; Jermaine Taylor, former Undiputed Middleweight World Champion; Arthur Abraham, former IBF World Middleweight Champion.
Sounds brilliant, doesn't it? Well, amazingly, this incredible tournament is not being televised in the UK or Ireland. This is just another instance where the boxing fanbase is being shortchanged yet again. We pay your licence fee (BBC), we subscribe to your channels (ESPN and Sky Sports) and we pay your hefty PPV prices (Sky Box Office), but still we are being left out.
As your loyal paying customers, we, the boxing fan community, demand that the 'Super Six World Boxing Classic' be televised live in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
