Cancel Interview of O.J. Simpson

On November 28th and November 29th, 2006 O.J. Simpson will be interviewed by his publisher Judith Regan, whose publishing imprint ReganBooks, will release a book November 30th written by Mr. Simpson. This circus of an interview is to be aired on Fox Television. Simpson was acquitted of murder in the case of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald L. Goldman back in 1994.

In the interview Mr. Simpson plans to discuss how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible. I am insulted and disgusted at the thought a person of any stature would be allowed to discuss the crime of murder with such candor...and for the sake of what?!! The number of violent acts against women depicted on television far outweighs the number of violent acts depicted against men. There is no room or need for this type of television programming.

It is my opinion that it is insulting to women and I urge Fox Television to reconsider airing such a gross display of so-called news television. It shows great distaste and negligence on the part of Fox to its viewers. There is nothing to be gained or learned from this interview.

If this statement is true and Fox stands behind what it says then I urge them to consider that they are out of alignment in what they believe when it comes to the community of women. Fox, please take a stand and be an advocate for more responsible network programming.
