It has come to our attention that as a result of a mistake made by Cheltenham Girl's High School administration in regards to the English Catholic Trials paper, a number of schools are resitting both exams. We are aware that there is a possibility that some of Carlingford High School's students may have benefitted from this mistake in the form of information about the questions included before the exams commenced. However, rather than resitting both two hour exams, we are willing to accept that these students will remain unpunished and will perhaps achieve marks higher than they are rightfully entitled to. We feel that as we are the ones affected by this incident, we should be given the right to decide whether or not we wish to resit the exams. To avoid undue stress and disruptions to established study patterns, we, HSC English students of Carlingford High School, do not feel that the resitting of either exam is necessary.
