We, the undersigned, object to planning application number 2012/0616 proposing the application for a crematorium/cemetery on Catfoot Lane, Lambley, Nottinghamshire, on the grounds that if the development went ahead, it would result in: Destruction of a Greenfield site and reduction of the strategic green gap between Lambley and neighbouring towns, contrary to the Proposed Core Strategy and Local Plan Saved Policies.
Destruction of an area of important historic, natural, rural open space. Increased flooding in the local area. Further drain on infrastructure. Loss of wildlife habitat. Increased congestion in the area. Decreased safety on Catfoot Lane. Increased Noise and Light Pollution. Have a detrimental effect on the character of this beautiful valley on the edge of the rural countryside and loss of the open nature of the neighbourhood. A rural visual landscape will be replaced by an urban one.
