Catterpillar out of QUB no Business with Human Rights Abusers.

We, the undersigned Queens University of Belfast student, staff and surrounding community would like to express our opposition to the university decision to accept donations from Caterpillar, a company known for its record of complicity with human rights abuses in occupied Palestine through supplying the Israeli Occupying Forces with bulldozers to demolish thousands of Palestinian homes which resulted in making tens of thousands of Palestinians homeless and in many cases it resulted in loss of lives. It also resulted in causing environmental damage and economic hardship through uprooting hundreds of thousands of fruitful trees using the same bulldozers

Human Rights Watch and the UN higher commissioner on human rights have called on caterpillar to make sure that its products are not used in human rights abuses. We call on the Queens University to take an ethical stance by refusing donations from a company that profits from killing innocent people and destroying their homes in occupied Palestine
