Konamis Silent Hill series has been a vast success in the videogame industry. Fans of survivor horror games have been fascinated to this series since its beginning on Sonys original Playstation (1999), and continued on the PS2 and XBOX. This helped generate four sequels. Its constantly being compared to Capcoms Resident Evil series, which many consider helped start the survivor-horror games. But the Silent Hill series is a bit more; it leaves an intuition that would haunt you for days. Thats why it wasnt a surprise that a movie should be made.
Fans were pleased to hear that Christopher Gans was going to direct the motion picture. His most recent movie was the extremely successful, Brotherhood of the Wolf. The creators of the series were going to help out in the transition of the game to the big screen. And there were talks that Silent Hill was going to start filming in early March of 2005. Everything was going great until we heard the news that Silent Hill was no longer going to be called, Silent Hill but Centralia.
What is Centralia? I dont remember that name in any of the Silent Hill games. Why would they change something that looked to have so much potential? And from the reaction of fans on the Countingdown.com message boards, many agree that Centralia is not Silent Hill, and never will be. Thats why this petition is being made to help stop Konami and Focus Features from making a huge mistake.
Fans of the Silent Hill series please help by signing this petition, to stop Konami and everyone involved in making this movie, from making a big mistake. Thanks!

There is a lot of people that don't know about the Silent Hill movie and would see the movie when it comes out. That's if they knew it was a Silent Hill movie. When they see the commercial for "Centralia", they won't know it's a Silent Hill movie. There's
