Change of Nintendo Wii Name

We, The Undersigned are greatly offended by the naming decision of the Nintendo "Wii". We feel it is counter-productive in Nintendo's goal of appealing to a broader audience, and instead will only further cement Nintendo's image as a 'kiddy' company, and nothing more.

We understand the goals of the Wii naming decision to appeal to a broader audience, and to symbolize how people will play the machine and its unique, ground-breaking controllers. However, we feel there are better ways to go about achieving that goal.

We believe that Nintendo has an obligation to its loyal fans to do everything in its power to keep from embarrassing and humiliating its supporters. We the Undersigned have stuck with Nintendo through thick and thin. We refuse to sit back any longer and watch the company we have grown up loving shoot itself in the foot any longer. It is time for a change, Nintendo. Please change the name of the Nintendo Wii.
