Change Parking Conditions at

Aim of this petition is to highlight to the relevant authority, the need to have the current parking conditions at the Townsville Coast Guard Ramp situated on Ross Creek permanently changed to "Trailer Boat Only" The current parking conditions allow for single vehicle parking during weekdays, this is inadequate for the fishing fraternity of Townsville. When weather conditions permit fishing during midweek, many Townsville fisherman are angered to find that a large percentage of parking spots are taken up by single vehicles, forcing them to park illegally. On many occassions they are fined for parking illegally when this should not be the case, as the ferry terminal has a dedicated parking facility for its customers, therefore their need to park at the Coast Guard site is negated by reason of a dedicated parking facility already provided by the Ferry Facility.
