Chapter 27 In Theaters

This is a petition for the release of the movie Chapter 27, starring Jared Leto and Lindsey Lohan. The recent news of the movie not being released has deeply saddened many fans. This movie is not controversial enough that it cannot be released. This is a true story, with real facts, the truth must be shown. Jared Leto gained over 60 pounds for this movie, it deserves credit. Many people have stated that this movie will give fame to the killer, but he got his fame the second he pulled the trigger. Also if you are going to not release this movie based on that, you might as well take back any book or article ever written about this situation. Some Beatles fans may have a boycott site, but there are more people that want to see the movie then boycott it. On the IMDB page for this movie a fan said To the people who are boycotting the film because Chapman killed for fame. He already achieved the fame he wanted. Hed be famous with or with out the movie everyone knows about him. so who cares let Leto stretch his acting a bit with that whole gaining weight thing the movies already made and its going to come out whether anyone likes it or not. So just dont buy or dont go see it
Another person who was a little skeptical of the movie said It's not something you just watch, you have to really watch it, as the performance from Jared Leto is great, and to appreciate it, you have to pay notice all the sickness in what he does. He plays the psycho so well. And he making MDC seem, far from the "normal guy" the haters claim. And as I said, Leto is amazing, even if this won't lead him to the Oscars (with the controversy), he might have a shot at both the globes and the independent spirit awards. Lindsay and Judah, both does a great job as supporting. It's a movie worth watching. Great. Watch it. And all you haters, you can watch it. I did, and still, I adore Lennon and his music.
So as you see, even skeptics enjoyed it. We live in a world where controversy surrounds us: you cannot hide us from it. Not allowing this movie to be released in theaters is a crime. Ive seen clips and it looks amazing. People, like me, have been waiting for this movie for at least a year, and we are angry to hear that the movie will not even get a chance. Jared deserves to be seen in this amazing movie. Another moviegoer said By far this years stand out performance. Its up there with Hoffmans Capote and Whitakers Amin! If he doesnt get at least a nomination at the Oscars next year, well then will know for sure that the academy is just a bunch of phonies.
This movie has already gotten great reviews from Salon, The Hollywood Reporter, and Entertainment Weekly. Why is that Europe, Asia, and South America all get it released in theaters there? John Lennon is from Europe; obviously no one over there is making a huge deal about it. America is supposed to be a free country, but yet you are censoring us from a movie that isnt bad. If people will watch movies where people are mutated why cant we see this movie in the theaters? The movie is somewhat based on Let Me Take You Down, by Jack Jones, no one boycotted that book, its being released.
I find this unfair and completely inane. We want this movie. Weve been waiting and waiting. Please give us what we deserve. To see a truly amazing and well crafted movie that deserves the recognition. There are more people who want to see this movie then boycott it. If they make movies about the Zodiac killer, and others, then why not this movie? We hope this petition can change you mind.
