Charter Digital Cable to agree to terms with SNY

We are committed to getting Charter Digital Cable to agree to terms with SportsNet New York (SNY) when it airs on March 16, 2006. SNY will be similar to the popular YES network. SNY is partially owned by the New York Mets organization and will therefore be airing the majority of the games. On November 2, 2005 the New York Jets signed a 3-year television deal with SportsNet New York. The station will carry more than 230 hours of Jets related content. This is similar to the agreement the Giants have with YES. Aside from airing our beloved Mets and Jets, SNY will also show college football and basketball games, reportedly headlined by the Big East conference. Due to the growing support of these aforementioned New York and college teams, we firmly believe that agreeing to terms with SportsNet New York will be ultimately beneficial for all the parties involved.
This petition will undoubtedly show the undying support of these New York teams in Connecticut and other surrounding areas of New York that subscribe to this cable service. At the same time it will show our support for SportsNet New York, and consequently our support for Charter Digital Cable.
