Christopher Bird Should Write "Legion Of Super-Heroes"

We, the undersigned, state the following:
1.) Although Mark Waid and Barry Kitson's output on Legion of Super-Heroes has been workmanlike, the critical reception has been, at best, mixed, and any metaphorical description of the sales on Legion would probably and unfortunately have to involve cliff divers.
2.) When one of the most reliable and steadfast creative teams in comics - one with a proven track record for producing popular and high-selling books - fails to hit it out of the park, it is officially time to start throwing shit at the wall and see what sticks.
3.) Christopher Bird would, we think, probably write a reasonably awesome Legion comic.
3a.) He also qualifies as "shit", in the previous metaphor re: throwing.
3b.) He may also owe some of us money, and being paid to write comics would no doubt mean we'd see that faster.
Thus, we petition DC Comics to give Mr. Bird the opportunity to write at least six and preferably many, many more issues of Legion of Super-Heroes.

I started reading LOSH with mark waid and have thouroughly enjoyed it. Reading over bird's 24 entries I think I would LOVE his series.
