"It would be a great detriment to the peaceful and beautiful nature of this County if a Wal-Mart was to be built here. Powhatan as I have known it since childhood would be gone, and that would be a very sad thing."
"When we moved to Powhatan we knew we would have to travel to the larger chain stores if we wanted to shop there. I am still willing and wanting to travel out of Powhatan to go to the larger chain stores."
