The City of Edmonton has the opportunity to capitalize on Stanley Cup Fever. Whyte Avenue is becoming an out of control party zone; why not divert the party to a safer more controlled environment like Hawrelak Park. Have a City of Champions event; setup large screen TVs for the hockey games, sell alcohol, have live bands, and have beefed up Emergency Services control. The city would make profits from the events and would set the standard for future championships to follow. It is time for the city to show the world how to throw a championship party.
